We prohibit underage students to bring motor vehicle to school

Do you know 30% of motor vehicle’s accident in Indonesia is caused by a under age ( below 17) children? Do you know that our law take a rule that under age children did not have a permission to bring a vehicle? So, why the number of accidents by a children is so big? That’s because, the adults here is did not teach their children in a proper way about responsibility.

Under age children have a permission from their parents to ride a motor vehicle. Even, there some school allow them to bring it.  When government take an act about this case seriously and make a new rule that students can’t bring a motor vehicle to school, the parents is protest.  There’s no respect from them to the law in Indonesia.  

The parents said that they allow their children to bring a vehicle because of distance to school is far or public transportation is too expensive and unsafe or to make their children come to the school without late.  They are forget to teach their children about responsibility and discipline, maybe they are forget that they still can use a bicycle, maybe they are forget too that the number of accident in public transportation is too far more small than the number of accident when a children ride a motor vehicle.

The design most of motor vehicle is for adults, it’s hard for children to adapt and ride it. They also still unstable and will have a difficulty to analyse the traffic. So why the parent is still dare to allow their children ride it? Why government can’t prohibit their children to bringing their motor vehicle to school? It’s for their own safety.

Beside, the number of motor vehicle in Indonesia is become large and larger every year. This rule , if we really obedient with it, can make us back again use a bicycle instead of motor vehicle.  Especially for children, so the grow number of motor vehicle in Indonesia will be decrease.  The children also can learn to be responsible and not break the rule. Law is law, but the important thing is the mental of the people.  Let’s cooperate together,  we can minimize the number of accident and save our children.

This is my point of view about the motion in my first debate. The motion is this house would prohibit their students to bring a vehicle to school. My team theme line is we as positive team agree of this motion.
